Pilates is an exercise programme, designed to strengthen and restore the body to balance.

Classes will focus on specific areas individually using exercises that integrate the whole body to re-educate and restore it to optimum muscular and skeletal function.

Pilates was developed during the First World War by Joseph Pilates who designed a system of exercises to improve the rehabilitation program for returning veterans.

Pilates recommended a few precise movements emphasizing control and form to aid injured soldiers in regaining their health by strengthening, stretching, and stabilizing key muscles.

It is Pilates’ holistic approach that sets it apart from other forms of exercise.

Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and GPs recommend Pilates as one of the safest forms of exercise today.

Pilates can be beneficial for just about everyone, regardless of age and fitness level.

The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine.

Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.

Sessions are 1 hour each and are limited to just 3 people each class, ensuring more personal training.

Our price is £56 for the 4 sessions - equivalent to £14 for a 1 hour session.

A personal session can be arranged for £40.

A two-person session can be arranged for £20 each.
